Description
As an Applied AI Associate in our cross-functional team you will use your applied research, AI engineering and data science skills to tackle complex problems across the Corporate Functions (including Risk, Finance, Compliance and Legal). Collaborating with technology and business partners you'll source and analyze diverse data; develop & evaluate models; design & deploy software to the public cloud benefitting over 200k employees across the lines of business!You'll solve business problems by building systems to surface insights from a wide and ever-increasing range of data sources including news, company filings, non-government organization reports and market data. You'll care about producing high-quality, maintainable AI solutions and be keen to develop skills across a broad and evolving technology stack centered on Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic systems, Python and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Job responsibilities:
- Designing, building and deploying impactful end-to-end AI solutions surfacing insights to many business groups as part of a diverse team
- Participating in exciting research and development activities for new and existing AI products
- Engaging with stakeholders and understanding business requirements
- Contributing to the overall product and software development lifecycle through design, coding, testing, peer review, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and validation
- Enrich team and site culture by joining technical knowledge sharing sessions, pair programming, collaborative debugging and design workshops
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Undergraduate degree in a STEM subject (including, but not limited to Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Applied Mathematics or Statistics)
- Practical research skills and the desire to tackle interesting and varied applied research problems using state-of-the-art tools and techniques
- Solid Python programming fundamentals and experience with the Python ecosystem (i.e. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- At least one year of industry or academic research experience applying AI or adjacent techniques to solve real-world problems in any domain
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
- Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and its applications
- Familiarity with large language models and agentic frameworks such as LangGraph
- User interface design and development experience using React
- Exposure to public cloud technologies and microservice deployment
- Postgraduate degree in a STEM discipline
- Experience in the financial services industry
