Description
Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) Is actively seeking an Automated Experimentation Tech SETA to aid in the development of new programs that leverage AI and the automation of experimentation. This is a Science and Engineering and Technical Advisor (SETA) role focused on AI, and machine learning to create closed-loop systems that accelerate scientific discovery.
Responsibilities:
-Aid in the development of new programs that leverage AI and the automation of experimentation to expedite gold standard research
-Help in the evaluation of proposals that include AI for Science
-Assist in the daily management and tracking of funded efforts
-Operate with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
-Think in end-to-end systems rather than isolated components.
-Are comfortable making and defending architectural tradeoffs under uncertainty.
-Exhibit initiative and independence, and perform effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
-Maintain exceptional rigor and precision, with high standards for technical quality.
-Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
-Be a mission-driven mindset, motivated by advancing AI systems with real clinical and patient impact.
Requirements:
-Education: PhD in the biological or physical sciences. Alternatively, demonstrated expertise in the development of software for the biological sciences.
-Experience: 5+ years of experience performing with distributed laboratories. Familiarity with languages for specifying experiments
-Demonstrated ability to review and critique technical proposals that include AI for Science proposed by external teams.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing high-quality technical documentation and presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Prior experience in technical advisory, evaluation, or SETA-style roles.
-Experience working across multi-institution or multi-performer programs.
-Experience working in early-stage, fast-paced, startup environments.
Education: PhD in the biological or physical sciences. Alternatively, demonstrated expertise in the development of software for the biological sciences.
Location: Position is remote.
Travel: Periodic travel may be required
Clearance: Ability to obtain HHS Public Trust.
