The purpose of your role as a Facility Data Analyst
This position supports the development and operations of data-driven services at Harris. It provides coordination between regional business units and centralized Data Driven Solutions (DDS) team related to the deployment, configuration, analysis, and reporting of building systems to identify mechanical malfunctions, control systems problems, and opportunities for energy savings. Also, it provides support for the integration of internal and external programs/platforms; as well as the development of new programs and platforms as required to meet stakeholder needs.
This is a hybrid-remote position that can be based out of the Harris corporate headquarters in St. Paul, MN, or one of our regional offices.
Configuration of Telemetry platform technology:
- Support the configuration of DDS technology at a customer site by
- Documenting existing equipment, its features and options
- Verifying sequence and control strategies
- Mapping BAS points to DDS standard nomenclature
- Configuring critical system alarms and fault detection algorithms based on system configuration and client needs
- Communicate and ensure compliance with documentation process and standards
- Provide sketches or make drawing modifications as needed for accurate project documentation
Analytics:
- Support customers and regional teams with analyses of customer systems and data streams
- Create and maintain data transformation pipelines in SQL (or similar)
- Develop standard KPIs and reports to turn customer data into insights
- Work with customers to define and create clear and driving customized visualizations
- Provide data-driven recommendations based on insights
DDS Operational Support:
- Provide subject matter expertise on selected Harris technical platforms including the integration of existing building automation systems into the Harris platform
- Support the operations of DDS technology by
- Remote device analysis mechanical evaluation
- Remote device analysis control system evaluation
- Remote device analysis energy evaluation
- Give real-time support, and provide coordination between Harris team members and Harris technology:
- Remote diagnostic assistance for onsite service technician
- Assist technicians, GMs and Service manager with interpretation of both human- and computer-generated diagnostic reports
- Provide timely and accurate reporting for both internal and external stakeholders and in compliance with contractual commitments
- Work with regional staff to promptly respond to customer trouble calls and complaints that stem from fault-detection systems. Resolve problems quickly and efficiently while building and maintaining customer confidence and satisfaction
Software Development and Research Support:
- Create and maintain Niagara and/or Python-based (e.g.) tools for use by Harris DDS and Controls team members
- Assist in the design and implementation of real-time remote monitoring capabilities
- Create and evaluate diagnostic routines suitable for automation
- Evaluate the output of recommendation systems to help refine their accuracy and utility.
- Development and support the implementation of predictive analytics to identify when systems require maintenance, need repair or are operating inefficiently
- Provide ongoing development and support of additional projects in support of expanding and enhancing the Data Driven Solutions team
What we're looking for in you
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, statistics, building or construction sciences, or a related field
- Knowledge of data analysis with Python, MATLAB, R, SQL or similar systems
- Knowledge of data visualization with Tableau, Power BI, Python, MATLAB, R or similar
- 3+ years of experience with authoring, troubleshooting, and modifying programming logic

Pay Range: $54,020 to $81,030 per year
The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
