We are seeking a Geotechnical EIT to support our team here in Toronto. You’ll have the opportunity to follow projects from concept through the construction phase. You’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience with design assignments in foundation engineering, soil mechanics, earth retaining structures, and seismic design, and ground improvement which will contribute to your success as you grow your career.
As a Geotechnical EIT, you’ll have the chance to perform a variety of geotechnical field investigation and engineering analysis and reporting and design work for geotechnical and tunnel projects. Working with other members of the team, you’ll perform routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of geotechnical engineering principles.

Requirements
BS or MS (preferred) graduate of geological engineering/geotechnical engineering program.
Up to 2 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering.
Geotechnical field investigation experience.
EIT or Eligibility for Professional Engineer Licensing (P.Eng.) in future.
Knowledge of geotechnical design software programs such as LPile, APile, Slope/W, Seep/W, gINT, Open Ground, Settle3D, SHAKE, and FLAC.
You’ll also need:
The incumbent has basic knowledge of concepts, principles, and theories in geological engineering/geotechnical discipline, including soil mechanics.
Field investigation experience such as permitting, various type of drilling, and laboratory test assignment are preferred
Must have flexibility to include travel for assignments
Must be proactive and ready for site investigation assignments
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
The role will be posted for at least 3 days.
