As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the CORPORATE TECHNOLOGY, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Define and execute the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead and mentor Application Development teams, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
• Collaborate with software engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient, reliable, and secure software delivery.
• Champion infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Architect and manage cloud-native and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for mission-critical applications.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes to drive operational excellence.
• Integrate security best practices into DevOps processes, including vulnerability management and compliance automation.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
• Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps tools, processes, and methodologies.
• Drive adoption of best practices in automation, testing, and deployment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Deep expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.), configuration management, and cloud platforms.
• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record in leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in financial services or highly regulated environments is a plus.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
