Network Security Engineer - Singapore - Hedge Fund - Financial Services

My client is hiring a Network Security Engineer to help design, build, and protect mission-critical trading infrastructure in a fast-paced, global environment.

You'll work closely with security, technology, and trading teams to strengthen network security while supporting high-performance trading operations.
What you'll do

• Design and support a secure, resilient trading network infrastructure
• Implement network security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NDR, and SASE
• Reduce network risk using micro-segmentation and port-based security
• Analyse network traffic and packet captures to investigate security events
• Use automation, scripting, and emerging technologies (including AI) to improve detection and response
• Continuously automate and improve security operations
• Participate in on-call support when required

Requirements:

• Strong experience as a Network Security Engineer in complex environments
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, SASE, NDR, and IDS solutions
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, OSI model, and Layer 1-4 / 7 concepts
• Comfortable scripting or coding to automate workflows
• Proactive, innovative mindset with a passion for improving security
• Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical teams
