The Princeton Quantum Initiative seeks outstanding applicants for our postdoctoral fellowship program. Appointments will be at the Postdoctoral Research Associate or more senior researcher rank. These highly competitive positions will support research in quantum science and engineering across several departments throughout the university, including physics, electrical engineering, computer science, chemistry, and mechanical engineering. Research areas include foundational quantum science, quantum materials, devices for quantum technologies, and quantum computer science.

The term of appointment and salary will be based on rank. Positions at the postdoctoral rank are for one year with the possibility of renewal (for up to three years depending on performance and funding). Those hired at more senior ranks may have multi-year appointments. Appointments come with a highly competitive salary and $10,000 annually in research funding.

Applicants should have a strong track record of research excellence in a related field, and should have or be approaching a PhD in a related discipline (Physics, EE, Chemistry, or Computer Science). Expected Salary Range: Salary begins at $71,000/year and will be commensurate with experience.

The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
