Roanoke City Public Schools (RCPS) is an urban school division in Roanoke, Virginia, serving approximately 14,000 pre-K through 12th-grade students. Highland Park Elementary School is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to lead its dedicated team in providing a high-quality, student-centered education. The principal will be responsible for overseeing all school operations, fostering a supportive and inclusive school culture, and empowering both students and staff to achieve academic excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire a team of educators in delivering an innovative, engaging, and student-centered curriculum.

Cultivate meaningful partnerships with families, community members, and organizations to enrich the educational experience and enhance school-wide initiatives.
Oversee the development of school programs, instructional practices, and professional development to support teachers in meeting diverse student needs.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and challenging learning environment that prepares students to excel academically and socially.
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold (or be eligible for) a Virginia Postgraduate Professional license with an endorsement in Administration/Supervision. Demonstrated experience as a school administrator with a strong focus on instructional leadership and a commitment to growth for all students. Proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders in supporting a forward-thinking school environment.
