We're supporting a Hedge Fund in their search for a Python Web Developer where they have the opportunity to join a fast-paced technology environment focused on improving and automating critical systems. The role involves building internal tools, enhancing operational infrastructure, and developing solutions that support data-driven workflows and platform reliability.

You will work closely with engineering teams to design systems that improve efficiency, streamline processes, and support evolving technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop internal applications that improve operational workflows and system automation.
• Maintain and enhance a suite of internal platforms and engineering tools.
• Contribute to the development of scalable systems used to manage infrastructure and operational processes.
• Partner with other engineering teams to support technical initiatives and resolve complex system challenges.
• Build tools that gather, process, and present large datasets for operational insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing systems through automation and modern engineering practices.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies that could enhance platform performance and reliability.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience developing or improving internal software systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Strong backend development experience, particularly with Python; exposure to Golang is beneficial.
• Experience building reliable and scalable services or APIs.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, or alerting tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular is beneficial.
• Experience working with distributed or large-scale systems is desirable.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, including command line and shell scripting.
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within technical teams.
