Director, Quant Engineering - Systematic Fixed IncomeAn established global asset‑management technology organization is seeking a Director, Quant Engineering to join its Quantitative Research & Investing Technology group. This individual will work closely with quantitative research and investment teams to design, build, and enhance a sophisticated Systematic Fixed Income research and portfolio construction platform. The role combines hands-on engineering with leadership responsibilities in a high‑impact, collaborative environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of tools and infrastructure supporting systematic fixed income research.
- Translate research and investment requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
- Contribute to coding, architecture, and long‑term platform strategy.
- Build cloud‑ready microservices, APIs, and data integration components.
- Ensure stable, efficient data pipelines and research workflows.
- Support production systems and drive platform improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to shape technical direction.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years engineering experience in financial services
- Strong Python and API/microservices expertise
- Experience with AWS, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
- Solid grounding in system architecture, OOP, functional programming, and data modeling
- Background in fixed income, quant development, or portfolio construction is a plus
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
