Senior Application Engineer - Angular

About the Role

As a Frontend Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing and enhancing our Angular-based application, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality Angular components for our SwiftRe® platform
• Collaborate with Technical Squad Leads on solution design and implementation
• Create reusable UI components that meet our high standards for quality and performance
• Implement responsive designs that work across multiple devices and screen sizes
• Optimize application performance and ensure code quality through testing
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
• Work with integrated systems across Swiss Re's value chain
• Ensure all development meets high security and compliance standards

About the Team

You'll join an agile squad working on SwiftRe®, our Azure Cloud-based application with a worldwide user base. Our platform is highly integrated into the full value chain of Swiss Re, including core legacy services, and utilizes state-of-the-art technology stacks. We operate in an agile environment where team empowerment is our highest value, fostering innovation and continuous learning.

About You

We understand that no candidate meets 100% of requirements. If you have experience with Angular development, a genuine curiosity about software engineering, and a collaborative mindset, we'd love to connect with you. We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• Strong experience with Angular development (version 19); 10+ Years experience
• Proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with Redux patterns and NgRx
• Experience building reusable UI components and working with component libraries
• Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

These are additional nice to haves:

• Experience in UI/UX solution design collaborating with dedicated designers
• Knowledge of cloud-based applications, particularly in Azure
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements in financial services
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of the reinsurance industry or financial services sector

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
