Senior Brand Manager Vaccines

The Senior Brand Manager Vaccines will take leadership in growing a critical brand within the GSK Vaccines portfolio. Strive to engage and inspire others about adopting a 'customer centric' approach to marketing. This includes delivering value by ensuring that patients, customers and GSKs needs are met and that all our marketing activities.
This is an important role within GSK's vaccines team, working specifically on one of the largest medicines within the UK Pharma company where there are significant performance ambitions requiring us to be accountable for impact, ambitious for patients and always do the right thing.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a role that will need a deep understanding of vaccines, brand performance and identification of key barriers and drivers of growth. Working closely with the Marketing Director, your direct report(s) and a cross-functional team you will use this to develop and execute competitive and impactful strategies which deliver on the brand financial objectives.
- Strategic & Agile Leadership - Shape the brand strategy and business objectives. Optimising strategy based on the latest market and environmental insights, to develop a strategy which will drive the financial and competitive objectives. You will lead your team in an agile way in order to effectively prioritise and develop and deliver the strategies and tactics with the available budget and resource which will have the biggest impact in a highly competitive external environment.
- Operational Execution - You will lead operational planning, ensuring a clear alignment to the strategic plan. Through high responsibility for operational execution, you will ensure the operational plan is implemented in an agile way, with high discipline on delivering against operational cycle commitments and KPIs in order to deliver brand performance objectives.
- Omnichannel - Develop effective omnichannel implementation of an effective marketing mix, with a data driven approach, to ensure competitive campaigns that drive performance. Work closely with your omnichannel and cross-brand (Vx BU in particular) counterparts to ensure campaigns are customer centric and orchestrated across brands to best meet the needs of the customer and the business.
- Voice of the customer you will bring a deep understanding of the customer. You will use this knowledge to uncover insight, develop more focused plans to create value. You will proactively share local insights with relevant GSK stakeholders including the Global team.
- Salesforce Leadership You will demonstrate leadership without authority to partner with the salesforce, to ensure they remain an effective channel within the marketing mix and a critical part of the omnichannel campaigns.
- Innovatation Mindset utilise the latest tech, including AI, in order to best meet evolving customer needs & preferences. Be tenacious in looking for 1% improvements in all aspects of the role, from content, campaigns and processes.
Why you?
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Extensive business experience within pharmaceutical or biotech industry, leading the brand strategy process, demonstrating commercial acumen. Deep knowledge of the UK Health system.
- First line leadership of marketing teams.
- Omnichannel marketing experience, using data to guide effective and impactful omnichannel campaigns.
- Proven experience of effectively developing and delivering on strategic plans and demonstratable discipline in operational execution through agile ways of working
- Understanding of ABPI code and UK governance environment
- Salesforce Leadership or demonstratable effective leadership without authority with a large salesforce.
