- Senior Systems Engineer / Orbit Analyst

Job Summary
This role supports the development of satellite operations and orbital analysis solutions, providing technical expertise in astrodynamics and systems engineering. The position contributes across the full system development lifecycle, supporting orbit determination, maneuver planning, simulation, and operational analysis in secure, mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Configure orbital analysis tools to support orbit determination, ephemeris generation, uncertainty estimation, and collision avoidance
Develop and validate orbit maneuver plans for maintenance and conjunction mitigation
Create and execute simulations to assess the accuracy of orbital models and determination techniques
Contribute across the system development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, documentation, testing, and deployment
Collaborate with government stakeholders and prime contractors to ensure system and interface requirements are consistent and valid
Develop scripts to automate and integrate orbital analysis functions
Support customer engagement through demonstrations, analytical products, and clear communication of results
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
4–8 years of relevant professional experience
Experience with requirements development and test development
Experience working in Agile software development environments
Automated testing experience
Demonstrated expertise in orbit determination and astrodynamics operations
Familiarity with standard astrodynamics tools such as ODTK and STK/Astrogator
Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in small teams
