Description & Requirements
Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH international Corporation seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Survey Methodologist who Lead the design and implementation of advanced survey methodologies and statistical sampling strategies to ensure high-quality, nationally representative data collection that meets federal standards and supports actionable insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sampling Design & Compliance: Develop and implement OMB-compliant sampling frames and methodologies for nationally representative surveys, ensuring robust population coverage, unbiased estimates, and alignment with the client's regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Power & Precision Analysis: Conduct rigorous power and precision analyses to determine optimal sample sizes for reliable national estimates and statistically valid subgroup comparisons supporting the client's analytical objectives.
- Real-Time Monitoring & Quality Assurance: Design and deploy interactive dashboards and monitoring tools to track sample performance, response rates, and data quality in real time, enabling proactive adjustments and continuous quality improvement for the client.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-5 years Demonstrated expertise in survey methodology, statistical sampling, and adherence to federal standards (OMB) for the client.
- Practical experience performing power analyses, precision calculations, and applying advanced statistical techniques to survey design.
- Skilled in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to monitor, report, and interpret sample performance for the client.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities to translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for the client's teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Statistics, Survey Methodology, Data Science, related field, OR equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with large-scale national surveys, complex sampling designs, and real-time data quality monitoring.
- Familiarity with federal survey compliance frameworks and best practices for public-sector data collection.
Clearance Requirements:
- Current Public Trust Desired.
- Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position
