Description
Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Business Development - lead generation, prospecting, proposing
- Generate and qualify leads through research and outreach
- Identify and engage potential prospects to expand business opportunities
- Client relationship management
- Develop tailored proposals and presentations to pitch solutions effectively
- Collaborate with internal teams to align strategies with business goals
- Maintain a pipeline of potential clients and track engagement progress
- Assist in creating proposals including writing, proofreading, editing, formatting, and expediting the proposal process
- Collaborate with project managers and directors to assist in strategies, develop proposal text, and ensure quality and adherence to delivery deadlines
- Production and Coordination of proposals to ensure all deadlines are met
- CRM and Database Management
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Assist with business development efforts including, but not limited to: Account Planning, Identify leads, Prospecting
- Scheduling & attending client meet-and-greets and pre-proposal meetings
- Monitoring and assisting to improve client relations & Surveying client satisfaction
- Maintain vital “up-to-date” business documentation including, but not limited to: Pre-qualifications, Technical certifications, Vendor registrations, and Licenses & memberships
- Market Research – Gather and analyze data related to markets, competitors, and prospects; social, cultural, and economic conditions; and regulatory changes as they affect markets. Tracks opportunities including, but not limited to, RFQ’s, RFP’s, RFI’s, etc.
- Promotional Activities – Coordinate and possibly attend events (manning table or booth) to promote the firm through advertising, public relations activities, and other media outreach programs.

Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in water and engineering industry
- Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) License preferred
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently and be a self-starter with excellent communication (verbal and written), personal and organizational skills
- Availability to travel locally and perform multiple tasks
- Experience with CRM software
- Project and Program Management experience
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- Business Development experience - lead generation, prospecting, proposing
- Proposal writing experience
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and MS Office products
- Must be comfortable and willing to interface with clients
- Ability to adapt to different work environments
