Eaton's Industrial Sector - Filtration Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Programs Manager to join our team. This position could be based in our European locations: Germany or Belgium.
The Manufacturing Programs Manager is responsible for developing and deploying the manufacturing strategy for the Division including executing the global manufacturing footprint, driving and managing the Capex process, providing leadership of cost-effective processes and technologies including industry 4.0 and achieving the environmental goals The Filtration Division consists of 8 manufacturing facilities globally (4 in EMEA, 2 in NAFTA, 2 in APAC) as well as office locations in each region. In this position, the incumbent will report directly to the Division Global Operations Director, and will work closely with Filtration facilities, division functional leaders and plant managers.
What you'll do:
Optimize manufacturing footprint by reviewing site locations, driving best use of installed capacity
Review key manufacturing processes across sites and divisions to develop "make vs buy" strategy (insource/outsource/dual source) that will help improve the division footprint
Formulate plans to improve manufacturing resiliency and ensure business continuity for key products
Drive the digital transformation including the definition and execution of industry 4.0 implementation strategy as well as the deployment of digital manufacturing tools and concepts to enhance and promote World Class Manufacturing capability
Lead the standardization of manufacturing, assembly, and test processes as well as the standardization of the corresponding equipment
Support the sites to achieve 2030 sustainability commitment.
Provide technical leadership in the selection, design, development & installation of cost-effective processes & technologies leveraging the best practices
Lead the development of a capital strategy in support of the manufacturing strategy and manage the capital appropriation process for the business
Formulate and drive labor productivity strategy for Division, including tracking and updating the standard vs actual labor cost comparison, auditing BOM plans and tracking OEE improvements
Champion and drive the use of effective project management processes and the Eaton Business Syste
Build the manufacturing talent pipeline in Filtration by coaching, motivating, and mentoring all plant manufacturing engineering team members
Act as the key interface to product line and R&D for all product related manufacturing subjects
Serving as the primary counterpart to the Operations Growth Team, with responsibility for driving initiatives in Manufacturing Engineering and aligning with strategic investment pillars to support sustainable growth
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, electrical, or process engineering • Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing/operations • Prior experience leading and influencing teams • Prior experience in multinational manufacturing organizations with complex matrix structures • Fluent in English • Position Criteria: • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and continuous improvement methods, approaches and tools, including strategic management and project management. • Ability to drive results in the areas of productivity, asset management, and continuous improvement. • Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others. • Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills. • Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus. • Project management skills • Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, including seeing the big picture and motivating others towards common goals • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or Business Administration (MBA) • At least three (3) years of experience in a role with multi-site operations • Six Sigma Certification or equivalent • Project management experience, ideally utilizing Eaton's ProLaunch process • Prior hands-on experience with automation and/or Industry 4.0 • Knowledge and experience with the deployment of Eaton's EBS tools and processes • Additional language proficiency - German
