What Your Job Will Be Like
We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Quality Systems Professional to join a dynamic team supporting nuclear and radiological facilities! Are you passionate about creating, improving and maintaining highly effective quality and training systems? If so, you will want to apply for this opportunity.
This position will establish and steward key aspects of TA-V's quality and training program including the flow down and implementation of external and internal requirements, developing and administering elements of the program, developing and delivering training, coaching employees, improvement initiatives, and driving change throughout the organization. You will act as a champion and change agent for high quality results.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
Develop and implement strategy and process to support knowledge management
Work with organization's management team to identify focus areas for knowledge management
Work with staff to identify and capture Lessons Learned
Oversee development and implementation of training and qualification plans across the organization
Utilize audio and video equipment to capture and edit training and work activities
Utilize software to create and edit online training content
Provide creative solutions to complex problems by developing plans and strategies
Assess processes and systems, and conduct learning teams
Translate contractual, regulatory, and customer requirements, into processes, tools, and practices
Design and deploy processes and tools to meet customer requirements
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite.
Salary Range
$87,400 - $168,800
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus five (5) years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
Experience with training and qualification/certification programs
Experience creating sites with SharePoint Online
Ability obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
Qualifications We Desire
Experience with Power Automate, PowerBI, Learning Management Systems
Experience with audio and video equipment, and related editing software
Experience working with training, qualification, and certification programs
Experience collaborating with teams to develop and deliver training materials
Experience interpreting and implementing orders and standards, reviewing requirements
Experience conducting internal assessments/audits
Experience working with external auditors
Experience in documents and records management
Ability to identify and implement improvements while adhering to standards and raising expectations
Knowledge of change management, project management and configuration management processes and methodologies
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external personnel, including the ability to build effective working relationships and build and lead diverse teams across the organization
Knowledge of 10CFR830 A, Applicable DOE orders (e.g., 414.1E, 422.1, 232.2A, 426.2, 433.1B, etc.), NQA-1-2017, ISO 9001
About Our Team
Organization 1380, Nuclear Facilities and Applied Technologies (TA-V), operates three unique nuclear facilities supporting the mission of Sandia National Laboratories and the nation's interest. These facilities include the Annular Core Research Reactor (ACRR), the Sandia Pulsed Reactor (SPR), and the Auxiliary Hot Cell Facility (AHCF). 1380 also operates radiological facilities such as the Gamma Irradiation Facility (GIF), the Low Dose Rate Irradiation Facility (LDRIF) and the Radiation Metrology Lab (RML).
The Nuclear Quality and Requirements Department (Organization 1382) supports the operation of the Nuclear Facilities and Applied Technologies (TA-V) organization by providing nuclear assurance management, training management, information management, quality integration and requirements accountability to ensure fulfillment of 10CFR830, Nuclear Safety Management, Quality Assurance.

Security Clearance
Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants for employment need to be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. If you hold more than one citizenship (i.e., of the U.S. and another country), your ability to obtain a security clearance may be impacted.

NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
