Description
This position sells products to the underground construction industry using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products to their needs resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.
- Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products in an effective manner by:
- Researching and developing lists of potential customers;
- Establishing and maintaining industry contacts that lead to sales;
- Making regular sales calls (including cold calls) to develop relationships and follow up on leads;
- Understand and identify applications for DSI products
- Establishing / maintaining long-term, ongoing repeat relationships.
- Develop and deliver professional sales and marketing proposals and presentations to customers on products and services
- Act to close deals and finalize contracts resolving problems with products and services
- Administer all sales programs for territory.
- Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals.
- Conform with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Complete other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Requirements
- Degree in business, construction management or construction/civil/mining engineering and or 5 years of field sales experience, or equivalent.
- Developed sales skills. Technical knowledge of support of excavations and or ground support in both soils and rock
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Excellent customer relations skills.
- In-depth knowledge of target market industries.
- Ability to travel.
- Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel.
- The ability to thoroughly understand DSI’s product line and product capabilities.
- Locate within the territory (NV, CA, WA, OR, AZ) following a 4-8 month orientation in Louisville, KY
