BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinarian Hospitalist to join our leading-edge hospital to provide medical oversight to a variety of hospitalized veterinary patients at our hospital in Christiana, DE.

As a Veterinarian Hospitalist, BluePearl, Christiana is proud to offer :

• Base salary up to $130,000.
• Additional earning potential offered through quarterly production bonus (NO negative accrual).
• Sign-on bonus.
• Relocation assistance.

As a Veterinarian Hospitalist you will :

• Diagnose and treat animals with illnesses and injuries.
• Evaluate patient status, make timely treatment and diagnostic plans/orders, administer medications, interpret diagnostic test results, communicate effectively with the pet owner/client and primary care veterinarian, and collaborate on patient care with other veterinarians within the practice.

• Dress animal wounds and treats animals with fractures.
• Write prescriptions for sick animals.
• Complete appropriate documentation and request referrals from other specialists as needed.
• Serve as a hospital leader in setting a pleasant, engaging, and professional work environment.

What you need to excel at BluePearl :

• DVM/VMD degree required.
• Completion of a rotating internship or residency in emergency and critical care preferred but not required.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in this state.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills, with the ability to make rapid and accurate assessments in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate bedside manner.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
