DNV offers a congenial working environment, competitive salaries, and an exceptional benefits package.DNVGL- Energy Systems seeks to employ a Pipeline Integrity Engineer to support our Columbus Ohio based Integrity Solutions Section, within the Pipeline Services Department. This position will be located in our Dublin, Ohio office.
The Integrity Solutions Section focuses on providing innovative products and services to the pipeline industry. We strive to be a diverse and inclusive group and have a strong commitment to the development of young professionals.
Tasks May Include:
- Working effectively and efficiently within a group of approximately 20 engineers / consultants, and two ILI analyst / data verification specialists
- Compiling data received from pipeline operators and determining the appropriate methodologies and calculations to solve issue at hand.
- Documenting analyses and processes and procedures in a technical format to clearly deliver results and the implications of those results to the pipeline operator.
- Engage in a group of engineers and consultants, reviewing, and verifying each other's work.
- Interact with other team members and clients in a manner that is professional and promotes collaboration
- Writing of technical papers or presentations of innovative work or projects, if desired
- Attending technical seminars to increase understanding of the pipeline industry and new technologies as well as to develop projects
- Business development within existing projects and customers
Position Qualifications
Requirements
- B.S. degree or higher in Material Science & Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Microsoft Excel and Word, technical writing, problem solving, critical thinking, ability to pick up technical concepts quickly
- Attention to detail, internally motivated, hard working, soft social skills, professional presence, often takes the initiative independent of direct instruction
- Ability to work on a team effectively and efficiently, but also be able to show effectiveness when working individually.
- Ability to handle fast pace, high demand environments with strong stress management skills
- Actively seeks opportunities to help team members with demanding project schedules and expectations
- Travel up to 25% domestic and international
- We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening
