We're seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior Engineering Lead to lead a Unit focussed on civil engineering excellence and the delivery of civil infrastructure maintenance services that meet the needs of the Nillumbik community, now and into the future.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide expert engineering advice and leadership across the organisation and oversee management of Council's two former landfill sites. You will be the custodian of Assetic Maintenance and will coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to increase the community's satisfaction with Council's civil infrastructure maintenance services.

Leading a multi-skilled, technical workforce, you will positively shape the culture of the Unit by reinforcing organisational values, behaviours and expectations, while providing ongoing leadership coaching and mentoring to Team Leaders to enable an amazing employee experience at every level.

You will bring skills in;

  • Leadership experience, including the ability to implement cultural and operational change to drive a great employee experience
  • Substantial experience in managing, developing and delivery of civil infrastructure maintenance services
  • Substantial knowledge and experience of contract management principles and practice
  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineers and registration as a Professional Engineer

Salary range of $129,359 to $144,527
