Company History

In 2026 VILNIUS TECH celebrates 70 years since its establishment. It's Faculty of Electronics was established in 1961 and is now the second largest faculty, also being the hub of IEEE activities in the country.
This year a new International Competence Centre for Autonomous, Remotely Operated and Connected Systems (ComARC) is being jointly established by VILNIUS TECH and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), with Fraunhofer FKIE (Germany) as the lead international partner. The Centre shall focus on applied research and innovation for next-generation autonomous, remotely operated and interconnected air, ground and maritime systems. Its mission is to build a world-class research hub capable of delivering high-impact, dual-use technologies, components and design solutions for uncrewed autonomous platforms and their applications.
