About the Role
An established financial institution is strengthening its Anti‑Financial Crime (AFC) function and is seeking an AFC Manager with a strong focus on digital assets, crypto‑related activities, distributed ledger technology (DLT) and MiCAR implementation. This role sits within Group Compliance and offers a high level of autonomy, ownership and visibility in a rapidly evolving regulatory area. The position is well suited to experienced compliance professionals looking to shape and embed regulatory frameworks for crypto and digital asset activities within a regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and assessment of transactions and counterparties in line with AML, sanctions and broader regulatory requirements, ensuring complete and audit‑ready documentation
- Development, implementation and continuous enhancement of AFC policies, procedures and control frameworks in accordance with MiCAR and related regulatory requirements for crypto‑assets and tokens
- Oversight, optimisation and governance of monitoring and screening systems covering digital asset and crypto‑related activities
- Identification, assessment and ongoing monitoring of regulatory and financial crime risks arising from crypto, DLT and digital asset business models
- Review and escalation of sanctions and transaction monitoring alerts in line with internal control standards
- Provision of hands‑on regulatory and compliance advice to internal stakeholders, particularly product, technology and digital teams
Your Profile
- Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science or a comparable discipline
- Several years of experience in AFC, AML, Compliance or Regulatory Advisory within banking, financial services or consulting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, with practical exposure to MiCAR and FinmadiG considered a significant advantage
- Experience with digital technologies, DLT, crypto‑assets and modern payment solutions
- Structured, analytical and independent working style with a strong sense of ownership
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player with very good German and English skills
