Description
The Analytics Solutions Manager will join the CIB Global Finance and Business Management organization, assisting with optimizing business performance by helping to drive key initiatives, performing data & management reporting development agenda for operations. The candidate will learn core business processes, build new capabilities, develop metrics/management reporting, and provide decision support via Adhoc reporting and data analytics.The Analytics Solutions Manager on the team will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives that help drive profitability and efficiency across the Commercial & Investment Banking organization. The Analytics Solutions Manager will be responsible for leading a Data Strategy team and assisting the business in identifying, escalating, and mitigating operations risks. Also support in building the strategic initiatives for the key stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Analytics Manager to lead our Data Strategy team, drive data initiatives, and deliver actionable insights for business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Assessment & Optimization: Evaluate current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Design and implement new or revised processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, secure buy-in, and ensure successful process changes.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives, including communication, training, and support, to drive adoption of new processes and solutions.
- Project Leadership: Plan, execute, and oversee reengineering and data projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process improvements and analytics initiatives.
- Technology & Data Enablement: Identify and implement technology solutions to support process automation and data management. Leverage analytics tools and emerging technologies to drive business insights.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, changes, and best practices to support ongoing improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous evaluation and innovation, encouraging feedback and ongoing process enhancements.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Assess risks related to process changes and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, managing analytics and reporting functions. Drive team performance and professional development.
- Strategic Data Management: Align data initiatives with business goals, develop long-term data strategies, and ensure robust data governance, quality, privacy, and security.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Communicate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, presenting key metrics, insights, and recommendations.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 11+ years in analytics/transformation, preferably in financial services or banking.
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, etc.)
- Need hands on experience with the following skills:
- Strong SQL for data extraction and validation
- Data visualization tools such as Qlik and Tableau for data modeling
- Proven project management skills and stakeholder relationship building.
- Experience with project management tools such as Service Now or JIRA.
- Ability to convey complex information clearly and influence stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with senior management and cross-functional teams.
- High competency in reviewing and resolving data and presentation issues.
- Technical expertise in data extraction, transformation, and scalable solution design.
- Experience in business strategy, KPI definition, and measurement frameworks.
- Self-motivated, effective under pressure, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic.
- Skilled in designing data-driven solutions for business problems.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in business strategy, KPI definition, and measurement frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with the following skills are a plus:
- Programming languages, Python/R
- Knowledge of Distributed file systems: AWS Redshift, Snowflake, AWS Databricks, with modern cloud-based data architectures.
- Familiarity with data cataloging, lineage, and issue management; experience implementing validation checks.
- Version control (e.g., Git) and basic scheduling/automation concepts.
- Basic descriptive statistics, trend analysis, and A/B testing concepts.
