Radiography at Valencia College
The Clinical Coordinator, Radiography is a 12-month faculty position within our School of Allied Health programs, playing a vital role in supporting the Associate in Science Radiography program. This position reports directly to the Faculty Program Director, Radiologic and Imaging Sciences, and provides leadership and coordination of the clinical education component, ensuring students receive high-quality, hands-on training aligned with program outcomes and industry standards.
In addition to faculty responsibilities, the Clinical Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the college and clinical affiliates—overseeing student placements, monitoring clinical progress, and ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements. This role works closely with program leadership and faculty to support curriculum implementation, assess student performance in clinical settings, and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare organizations.
Through mentorship, coordination, and continuous quality improvement, the Clinical Coordinator helps prepare students to become skilled, compassionate radiologic technologists ready to meet the evolving demands of diagnostic imaging and patient care.
Radiography is a critical and in-demand field within healthcare, focused on using imaging technology to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Valencia College’sAssociate in Science in Radiographyprogram combines classroom instruction with extensive clinical experience, preparing students with the technical skills, clinical competence, and professional behaviors needed for success in radiologic technology. Graduates are prepared for expanded roles in healthcare settings, including leadership, education, management, and specialized imaging modalities. Strong partnerships with healthcare providers and advisory board guidance ensure the program aligns with industry standards and workforce needs, supporting the development of highly skilled imaging professionals who make meaningful contributions to patient care. Upon earning the A.S. degree in Radiography, eligible applicants can continue at Valencia to complete the Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic and Imaging Sciences or a bachelor-level Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC) in Computed Tomography (CT),Echocardiography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI) or Mammography.

Faculty Type
- Fall: 12 contact hours
- Spring: 12 contact hours
- Summer: 3 contact hours
**This position has an annual instructional workload of 12 contact hours during the fall and spring terms, and 3 contact hours during
the summer term. Additional required contact hours each term are reassigned to fulfill the responsibilities outlined. The Clinical Coordinator role is subject to annual renewal, with specific duties and time commitments varying based on discipline, program size, accreditation needs, and institutional resources.
**Note: A contact hour refers to one hour of direct instructional time with students per week. For example, a course that meets three hours per week counts as 3 contact hours. - The length of contract isin accordance withthe academic calendar
What are the Position Requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with a major in radiography or health related field and the following:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Licensure (current)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration in Radiography (current)
OR18 graduate semester hours in radiography or health related field, a master's degree from a regionally accredited institution, and the following:
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Licensure (current)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration in Radiography (current) - Licensure or certification must be active and maintained in accordance with applicable national or state regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction,
evaluation, and academic advising; - Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in the professional discipline
- Must have one year’s experience as an instructor in a JRCERT ( Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) accredited program
- Demonstrated education and/or experience in instructional methodology, including curriculum development, management, and teaching.
- This position may require face-to-face, online, and mixed-mode teaching modalities
Note: Mixed-Mode is a hybrid modality that includes face-to-face and asynchronous online instruction weekly - Please note that you will need to establish and maintain Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.

Salary Information:
Salary isdeterminedbased on relevant work experience and the highest degree earned. The salary ranges for each degree level are outlined below:
- Bachelors: $68,039 - $83,701 Per Year
- Masters: $73,288 - $88,950 Per Year
- Masters+30: $78,537 - $94,199 Per Year
- Doctorate: $83,786 - $99,448 Per Year
