Role Description
CES Consulting is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Consultant to join our Seattle area team. This is a fulltime, onsite role focused on designing resilient, efficient, and sustainable electrical solutions for a wide range of building projects including, but not limited to, life cycle renewal, building decarbonization, EV charging solutions, café food cooking electrification, and hardware & software computer lab projects. Expectations are a minimum of 3 days a week onsite, in Redmond, WA; initial training efforts and project needs may require additional days onsite.
In this role, you will contribute to customer design programming for high-level electrical designs, provide owner's representation services, and assist Facilities teams. The role will include working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable and efficient solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
A strong candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent communication skills with both fellow engineers and clients. This position requires fluency in industryspecific technical terminology when collaborating with the internal team. In clientfacing conversations, the ideal candidate can translate complex engineering concepts into clear, accessible language. Overall, the successful applicant will be able to manage and communicate project plans effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds, including partners, engineers, and clients.
Location and Travel Expectations
Occasional travel within North America may be required to support project needs. Travel is expected to be limited (approximately up to 5%) and is not a significant component of the role.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base salary range of $100k to $130k, depending on experience and qualifications
- Performance-based bonuses
- Comp time for hours worked in excess of 40/week

Requirements
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction industry and providing technical expertise to clients
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and an understanding of electricity and related principles
- Expertise in Electrical Design and knowledge of Power Distribution systems
- Ability to understand, edit, and iterate Industry standard electrical construction drawings including building single-line diagrams, floor plans, elevations, and equipment submittals.
- Experience in preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and energy-efficient technologies (NEC, IEEE, NFPA, LEED, Energy Codes, etc.)
- Interest or experience in sustainable building design is valued
- Proficiency in electrical design software and relevant tools, including AutoCAD and Bluebeam
