Description
(a) Synthesis of optically active metal complexes; (b) Synthesis of combined heterostructures with carbon quantum dots doped with metal nanoparticles. Photoluminescence disturbances in these materials will serve as the basis for sensors and probes for detecting various analytes. Development of analytical platforms based on sensors susceptible to changes in their optical properties and with the potential for detecting ultra-trace quantities of analytes.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements: PhD in Science, in the area of Analytical Chemistry, obtained less than 7 years ago. Experience in the preparation, review, and submission of scientific articles in English. Experience in the development of chemical sensors, including the preparation of their respective substrates. Familiarity with spectroanalytical techniques.
Desirable Requirements: Availability to work with different detection techniques, including mid-infrared spectrometry, luminescence, and electrochemistry. Desirable experience in miniaturization and automation, familiarity with microcontrollers, IoT devices, and basic programming. To support the research activities of the group of analytical chemistry, environmental, and sensors at the Chemistry Institute of UNESP, Araraquara, SP, Brazil.
How to apply: Submit graduate academic transcript, Curriculum Vitae, and a letter explaining the motivation for the position and adequacy for requirements by May 25, 2026.
