Quality Assurance (a/k/a Software Testing Engineer) (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): Will play a key role on the Know Your Customer (KYC) suite of applications. Primary responsibility will be supporting and leading a team through the Application Testing Lifecycle. Will work closely with the development team as well as KYC Solutions. Will have proven experience testing complex applications with knowledge of the Know Your Customer regulatory domain. Will be well versed in and hands-on with testing methodologies, automation techniques, integration testing with a solid understanding of performance testing. Should be familiar with the latest trends and best practices in the testing industry. Specific duties include: drive testing and test automation coverage for the Know Your Customer applications; find ways to enhance testing processes with new tools, strategies or techniques; work closely with developers and quality assurance members to run test suites and research errors; work with the support group to reproduce production problems and identify gaps in the regression test suite; implement metrics to effectively provide feedback and measure project quality; ensure testing efforts are aligned with business needs and industry standards; ensure future needs of a specific skill set requirement for a project are addressed by ensuring the testing team is appropriately trained; and define and deploy robust testing framework, ensuring suitable testing infrastructure to support this framework. Part time telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or related field; and 5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Must have: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills along with close attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills; ability to work in a high paced environment, and to organize and prioritize work; strong working knowledge of financial services and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations; and experience with waterfall and agile SDLC methodologies. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)
Salary: $140,525 to $160,000 Annual.
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
