About the Opportunities
Mitchell Technical College (MTC) is seeking dynamic, dedicated, and experienced leaders to join our Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited Associate of Applied Science (AAS) program. These full-time faculty leadership positions begin August 2026. They offer a rewarding opportunity to shape the next generation of skilled radiologic technologists while working in a highly supportive, cutting-edge, and student-centered academic environment.

Program Overview
The Radiologic Technology program at Mitchell Technical College is a comprehensive 21-month AAS degree that seamlessly combines rigorous didactic instruction, hands-on laboratory training, and clinical rotations across a diverse network of healthcare facilities in South Dakota. Students receive premier training in radiographic positioning, patient care, radiation safety, imaging equipment, pathology, and advanced modalities. Graduates are fully prepared for successful careers in hospitals, clinics, and medical offices, and are eligible to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) national certification examination.
Requirements
Core Responsibilities (All Roles)
- Instructional Delivery: Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lesson plans for didactic and laboratory courses.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate student progress, clinical competencies, and skill proficiency in classroom, laboratory, and healthcare settings.
- Educational Technology: Utilize modern educational technology and learning management systems (LMS) effectively to enhance student learning.
- Mentorship: Provide proactive academic advising, mentorship, and support to students throughout their educational journey.
Minimum Qualifications by Role (JRCERT Compliant)
All candidates must possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and technical skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and must successfully pass a state and federal criminal background check.
- Program Director: Requires a Master's degree, current ARRT registration, a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience, and two (2) years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
- Clinical Coordinator: Requires a Bachelor's degree, current ARRT registration, a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience, and one (1) year of experience as an instructor or clinical preceptor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
