Description
Join Us as Team Leader Customer Project Manager (m/f/d)For our Processing Solutions division, we are seeking an experienced functional Team Leader responsible for leading a team of customer project managers in Printworks-, Commercial- and Central Bank projects. This role ensures successful technical calculations in the offer phase and project execution with high customer satisfaction and alignment with organizational goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Professional functional leadership of the customer project management team as an additional task to own operational activities.
- Ensuring smooth and timely execution of running opportunities and projects
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer-centric team culture.
- Support team members in skill development and issue resolution.
- Monitor project performance and intervene proactively to mitigate risks and resolve escalations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Supply chain, Logistics, Product management and Support teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Responsibility for the correct implementation of collective, legal, and company regulations and/ or tools
- Full responsibility for managing own opportunities and projects in the area of banknote processing solutions for our international clients
- Continuous improvement of processes through standardization, harmonization, as well as the use of automation and digitization by optimizing existing or introducing new systems and tools
- Continuous improvement of comprehensive customer solutions with technical concepts that complement our internal portfolio (e.g., cutting and packaging systems)
- Collaboration with specialists on specifications, system layouts, drawings, process flows, and concept development
- Preparation of cost calculations for the overall concept and necessary documentation, including risk analyses, EU conformity, etc.
- Technical leadership of international project teams as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders
- Interface and conflict management between internal departments, suppliers, and customers
- Proactive communication and reporting at all internal levels and within the customer organization to ensure project success, including "lessons learned"
- Coordination of training sessions, field tests, factory acceptance tests, installation, commissioning and site acceptance tests
Your Profile:
- Completed technical university degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering) or a comparable qualification
- 5+ years of project management experience in customer-facing environments.
- 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring project teams.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Extensive international experience in project management of system projects
- Quick comprehension and ability to recognize complex interrelationships to implement customer requirements
- High intercultural competence and experience in leading international teams
- Solid understanding of commercial contexts, strong customer orientation, and excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Independent and structured working style, strong assertiveness, and motivation to develop new solutions
- Confident use of project management tools and SAP System
- Good command of German and excellent English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus
- Enjoyment of regular international project assignments, including willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
